Internship Programme
HLM does provide Internships for students from professional courses. It is mandatory for final year students to go for internships in their Summer Holidays so in 4th Semester many companies (including startups) visit the campus to recruit interns. Students have to fill up an online form provided, and then the Placement Team helps them to get internships however it is not mandatory for students to get internships only from college, they can apply for off-campus placements too.
Student Development Programme
HLM grooms students in multi-dimensional areas thereby enabling them to effortlessly face the challenges of corporate world and also to become a better human being once they pass out from the campus.
Pleasing personality, team skills, decision making capability, ability to think on feet, presentation skills, analytical bent of mind, innovation, communication skills, positive attitude etc are few of the qualities which the trainers of School of Life Long Learning develop among the students.
Faculties having cumulative training and teaching experience of in some of top training companies of the country, have been veterans in their field and have played a very vital role in framing the entire pedagogy, teaching methodology, framework of the college. HLM Group of Institutions starts training students from the first year till final year so that by the time these students reach the end of their program they are capable enough to crack the selection process of the top companies who visit the for campus recruitment.
The pre-final and final year students are given extra grooming through an exclusive value added program called “Campus to Corporate” which enables students to not only get their dream job but also seamlessly blend into the corporate world.
English Proficiency Program
The English Proficiency program is the first of its kind and is implemented end-to-end at HLM in-house training centre, to enhance the employability skills of students. Under this program, students are trained from their very first year onwards. The program content is part of the curriculum and is taught like other subjects. The content of the first year is based on basic communication skills with activities which help motivate students to improve communication and presentation skills and develop self confidence. During the second and third year, the program focuses on quantitative and verbal aptitude. Mock interviews and group discussions are regularly conducted. In their final year, students are given extra training during their summer holidays and before they finally face job interviews.
Corporate Exposure
The Placement Cell of the college is to facilitate the students to explore new career opportunities for growth in their career. The Placement Cell helps students in their career planning through counseling like their interests, abilities and aptitudes so that they are able to choose their career more effectively. The aim of the Placement Cell is develop the students professionally by training them in employability skills such as group discussion, resume writing and interview skills which in helps the students to move ahead into a desired career.
The Placement Cell takes the initiative to explore new career opportunities for students through industrial visits and in unexplored sectors. The Campus Placement drives for the students are organized every year. The selection process of every company differs from each other but mainly the drive start with a pre-placement talk in which a organization gives the students insights into the company profile, job profile, career path, Salary structure etc. which is followed by the selection process this may include written/online test, group discussion, Personal interview etc. The Institute has all the facilities which makes campus placement drive a pleasant experience. Student Volunteers as well as the Placement team of the college is also present round the clock to provide assistance throughout the recruitment process.
