Program Overview
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is a four-and-a-half-year undergraduate degree programme — four years of academic study followed by a compulsory six-month clinical internship. Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession concerned with restoring movement and function in people affected by injury, illness, disability or ageing, through exercise therapy, manual therapy, electrotherapy and patient education.
The programme covers anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, pathology, pharmacology and exercise physiology in the foundation years, moving on to orthopaedic, neurological, cardio-respiratory, sports and community-based physiotherapy. Students gain supervised clinical experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centres and sports facilities, preparing them for independent practice and for higher studies such as MPT.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. Passed 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English from a recognised board with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Admission shall be made on the basis of merit / entrance examination as per University and State Government norms.
Fee Structure
The fee structure shall be applicable as per the norms of Government of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.) / Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow.
