Program Overview
B.Sc. Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is a four-year undergraduate degree programme that trains students to become professional registered nurses. The programme combines classroom teaching in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, pharmacology, microbiology and psychology with extensive supervised clinical practice in hospital wards, operation theatres, intensive care units and community health settings.
The curriculum follows the syllabus prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council and is spread over eight semesters. Students learn medical-surgical nursing, child health nursing, mental health nursing, community health nursing and midwifery / obstetric nursing, along with nursing research, management and professional ethics. Graduates are eligible for registration with the State Nursing Council and can pursue M.Sc. Nursing and other higher studies.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. Passed 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English from a recognised board with minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates should be medically fit. Admission shall be made through the entrance examination / counselling process as per University and State Government norms. Students shall be admitted once in a year.
Fee Structure
The fee structure shall be applicable as per the norms of Government of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.) / Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow.
