The Department of Computer Application organized an expert session on Generative Artificial Intelligence
17 February 2026
The Department of Computer Application, in collaboration with Ducat India, organized an expert session on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance students' technical competencies and industry readiness. The session aimed to provide practical exposure to emerging AI technologies and their real-world applications.
The resource person from Ducat India introduced the fundamental concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning before moving toward advanced topics like Generative AI models. Students were introduced to key technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Neural Networks, and Transformer Architecture.
The speaker (Mr. Pratik Gupta) demonstrated how Generative AI systems are trained using training datasets, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and fine-tuning techniques. Practical examples were shown using AI tools for content generation, image synthesis, chatbot development, and code automation. Concepts such as prompt engineering, model training lifecycle, data preprocessing, and model evaluation metrics were also discussed.
The session emphasized industry-relevant skills including:
- Hands-on training in AI tools
- Real-time project development
- Model deployment strategies
- AI ethics and responsible AI usage
- Career opportunities in Data Science and AI Engineering
Students actively participated in the interactive Q&A session, where they discussed career pathways in AI development, Data Analytics, and Cloud-based AI solutions.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks to the guest speaker and the Ducat India team for delivering an informative and skill-oriented training session. The event proved highly beneficial for students by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirement.
